The Golden Ring Prize (GRP) is a brand-new plan for awarding the outstanding Italian and Chinese design and facilitating their cultural exchanges.
Since 2007 when the Italian Consulate General in Guangzhou and the Italian Chamber of Commerce organized the first “Italian Design Night” in cooperation with Guangzhou Design Week, the design exchanges and cooperation between China and Italy have become increasingly frequent and in-depth, and have never paused. The GRP is created to open a new chapter of exchanges in design and culture between China and Italy.
The Golden Ring Prize (GRP)-Outstanding Chinese & Italian Design Exchange Project will invite authoritative leaders of design organizations and senior design experts from China and Italy to select outstanding design works and emerging designers in fields of retail, residence, office and hotel design in China and Italy every year. In addition, through the global operation and promotion network created by IID For China and Guangzhou Design Week, the Project will set up exchange centers in important cities in China and Italy and carry out global roadshows and series activities to promote the exchanges in design and culture between the two countries and facilitate the cooperation between Chinese and Italian designers in the international community.
